Crowley Data Poland network is constructed based on combination of two technologies – wireless and cable – thus providing the possibility of guarantee of the highest quality and availability of data, voice, image and sound transfer.

Crowley network is available in 10 Polish agglomerations, i.e. in Warsaw, Trójmiasto, Katowice, Cracow, Wrocław, Poznań, Łódź, Rzeszów, Lublin and Szczecin.

In order to realize subscriber services Crowley uses mostly wireless access systems based on solutions of such producers as Lucent Technologies, Hughes Network Systems or Ericsson. The solutions applied enable to adjust technology flexibly to the customer’s needs.

For subscriber capacities of up to 10 Mb/s we use mostly the solutions operating in “Point- Multi Point” mode where a number of customer premise antennae, located in various locations, communicate with a single base antenna.

The most popular solution is LMDS technology which system antennae operate in 26GHz band which prevents interferences from other radio systems operating in lower frequencies. Additionally used CellMac technology, allocating random time slots for each terminal, prevents transmission from being overheard. LMDS customer premise equipment is characterized by great convenience of use, small size and possibility of installation on each roof surface or building elevation. Integrated customer premise antenna, connected with a small customer premise terminal creates a set enabling trouble free use of services.

For higher capacities point-to-point wireless systems are applied, commonly called radio links. Installation of two antennae, one at customer’s location and the second at Crowley Data Poland node enables to obtain separated link of the expected capacity.

At locations where it is not possible to use wireless technology, Crowley Data Poland uses its partners’ transmission infrastructure.

All Crowley Data Poland network elements are redundant and connections among nodes are realized via two, independent routes. Access to international Internet networks and to Polish resources is realized with use of direct contacts with at least 3 independent providers, resulting in complete service security and availability.
